Last updated: 13 July 2026

This privacy policy describes how Rotor Club Aixois (hereafter "we", "the Club") collects, uses, and protects personal data through its website rotorclubaixois.fr and its members' area secure.rotorclubaixois.fr.

We attach great importance to protecting your data and comply with applicable law, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Data collected

On our public website rotorclubaixois.fr, the only personal data we collect comes from the contact form: first name, last name, email address, phone number (optional), and the content of your message.

The website uses Google Analytics for audience measurement purposes, only with your prior consent (see the "Cookies and trackers" section below). It does not embed any video widget or social network plugin likely to set third-party cookies.

On the members' area secure.rotorclubaixois.fr (restricted to active members), identification data (first name, last name, email, username) and login data are managed separately by that service.

We do not collect any banking information through the public website.

Purpose of data collection

Information submitted via the contact form is used solely to respond to your request (booking a discovery flight, a question about training, a gift voucher request, etc.).

No data is used for commercial, marketing, or advertising profiling purposes.

Legal basis

The processing of contact requests is based on your consent, expressed by voluntarily submitting the form, and on the Club's legitimate interest in responding to you.

Processing of the contact form

Messages sent via the contact form are relayed through our provider Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), based in the European Union and GDPR-compliant, directly to the Club's email address. The website itself does not store any message in a database — it is a simple relay for sending emails.

The form is protected against bots and automated submissions by Cloudflare Turnstile. When the form is submitted, this service analyses technical signals (IP address, browser characteristics) to distinguish a human submission from a bot, without displaying advertising or tracking your browsing for commercial purposes. This is a security measure, exempt from consent in the same way as an anti-fraud device.

Cookies and trackers

The website uses Google Analytics (Google LLC) to measure its audience (pages viewed, visit sources, time spent) and improve its content. These cookies are only set with your consent, collected via the banner shown on your first visit.

  • Cookies set if you accept: _ga and _ga_<identifier>, set by Google Analytics, kept for a maximum of 13 months.
  • Purpose: audience statistics only, no advertising use and no reselling of data to third parties.
  • Refusing or changing your mind: you can decline these cookies from the banner, or revisit your choice at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of every page. If you decline, no audience-measurement cookie is set and no data is sent to Google.
  • The website does not embed any other audience-measurement cookie or advertising tracker (no video widget or social network plugin likely to set one).

Hosting and providers

The website is hosted by OVH SAS, share capital of €10,069,020, registered with the Lille Métropole trade register (RCS) under n° 424 761 419 00045, registered office: 2 rue Kellermann, 59100 Roubaix, France.

We use Brevo (European Union) to send emails from the contact form, Cloudflare (United States, standard contractual clauses) for anti-bot protection of that same form, and, subject to your consent, Google Analytics (Google LLC, United States) for audience measurement.

Using Google Analytics involves a transfer of data to the United States, governed by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Other than this, no data is transferred outside the European Union.

Data retention

Contact form messages are not retained by the website — they are sent by email and handled according to the Club's usual email practices.

Security

We implement appropriate security measures: secure HTTPS connections, restricted access, and an architecture that does not persistently store personal data on the public-facing website.

Minors

Rotor Club Aixois accepts members from age 15. Where a minor wishes to join, parental authorisation is mandatory. For a discovery flight, the minimum age is 14 with parental consent.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and object to the processing of your data, as well as a right to data portability.

You can exercise your rights by contacting us by email at [email protected]. If you disagree with our response, you may lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr).
